Business Writing Style Analysis

Business Writing Style Analysis

Q Find one short document of "bad" or very "good" business writing that you have encountered anywhere in the real world (solicitation letters, contracts, or anything else seeking or documenting business with you) and write a short analysis (about 100 words) discussing why it is good or bad. Demonstrate your knowledge of the rhetoric and style of business communication recently studied (this and last week). Use key terms and concepts appropriately from the readings and share your analysis here. Do not forget to upload a screenshot/picture of the text you analyzed (JPEG, PDF, etc.) and, if it is not immediately clear, give the reader a sense of the context (when and where the document was prepared and who it was meant for). The business document can be something you received or found somewhere, anywhere, so long as it is a document inviting, recording, or documenting some kind of business. Please stay away from the documents that everyone might have seen just so we don't end up with everyone writing about the same file from the Internet.

After skimming this letter a couple of things that I noticed that make for a good business letter are number one the opening and the closing statements. Also, there is a header and all grammar and punctuation are used correctly. All the language used in this letter seems to be professional and communicated clearly so that the recipient of the letter will be able to understand exactly what is being asked of them and why they are receiving the letter. There is an exact set time and place for the meeting of the breach of contract to be taken care of, also giving the recipient a phone number to reach out to you if they are unable to make this date.
